Week three and we’re rolling along! It’s been another fun week in the Picture Perfect Colorado Facebook group. While mid-winter can sometimes bring the blues, our photographers continue to find beauty in Colorado’s winter landscapes.

Before diving into some of their stunning work, I want to mention a significant milestone for the group. As Jason stated in the group announcement “The race was tight and the competition was fierce! The top images are below. Congratulations to Jen Coombes for having the image with the most votes and for being chosen the PPC Cover Image for Feb’25! Thanks to all of the participants!”. Jen’s photo of a “Sunrise over the Dallas Divide” now the group cover for the next month.

Group Member – Jen Coombes

This beautiful scene and stunning sunrise is the winning cover photo that Jen captured.

Thanks, Jen, for participating in the group and congratulations again. More of Jen’s work can be seen on her social media accounts and website:

Group Member – Bruce Hausknecht

After that gorgeous San Juan Mountain sunrise, we are a beautiful photo from Bruce that he captured at Garden of the Gods Park. I have hike this trail many times, so I can tell you it’s not every day that you find perfect conditions for a view like this.

Really solid work on this shot, Bruce! For more of Bruce’s work, check out his social media accounts:

Group Member – Winston J Herbert

From a snowy Garden of the Gods Park, we now have a Snowy Egret. I think this photo captured by Winston J Herber, really shows the patience and determination needed to capture amazing wildlife photos. Some might say “lucky shot”, but my guess is Winston spent a lot of time and practice in order to capture a perfectly timed and executed photo like this.

I’m so glad you shared it with us, Winston! Looking forward to seeing more of you work. And you can see more of his work on Winston’s Facebook page:
