I don’t think I’ve mentioned this to anyone, but I am having a blast with group. The members, the photos, the comments, the interactions, it’s all been great. I’m really enjoying everyone’s creative ideas for the themed days. I’m mean “Mountain Moon Monday”! I don’t know who came up with that one, but that is just fun.
Every week, Picture Perfect Colorado members share images that take my breath away. Here are five photographers whose recent work exemplifies the talent and creativity in our community.
And with that, we have our first feature of the week.
Group Member – Darlene Bushue
This is one of Darlene’s Mountain Moon Monday photos. The view of Long’s Peak is pretty spectacular from Trail Ridge in Rocky Mountain Park, and Darlene snapped an amazing shot of it.

I can never get enough of Rocky Mountain National Park. For more of Darlene’s work check our her website and Facebook page:

Group Member – Peter Schwepker
While Darlene captures the serene majesty of moonlit mountains, our next photographer brings us face-to-face with Colorado’s dramatic weather. Peter Schwepker, a Colorado Springs legend, has an uncanny ability to be in the right place at the right moment when nature puts on a show. You can regularly catch Peter’s work on the nightly news here in town, and for good reason! He does amazing work.

This photo looks like it came out of an epic movie scene. Thanks for being part of the group, Peter. To see more of Peter’s work, follow him on Facebook or check out his website:

Group Member – Hollie Flesher Hardman
While Peter catches nature’s wildest moments, Hollie Flesher Hardman shows us the quiet beauty of rural Colorado. Her ‘Silo Sunday’ contribution particularly caught my eye. The way she captured those bright sunflowers against the winter snow tells a uniquely Colorado story.

I enjoy seeing your work, Hollie, thanks for sharing! To see more of Hollie’s work, check out her Facebook page:

Group Member – Tami Roberts
Coming in with a ‘righteous’ shot of an old church out in the plains. We have Tami Roberts. I first started seeing Tami’s work online a few years back. She was out consistently traveling around Colorado and sharing her striking takes on our beautiful state.

Heading out to capture this church on a night when the Norther Lights were predicted to make a showing, was a great idea. And this capture is stunning. To see more of Tami’s work, check out here photography page on Facebook:

Group Member – Timothy Baca
After Tami’s ethereal aurora capture, Timothy Baca shows us another side of Colorado’s night sky. His masterful composition of the San Juan Mountains under the Milky Way demonstrates why nighttime photography in our state can be so rewarding.

Thanks for jumping in and sharing your work with us, Timothy. Check out more of Timothy’s work:

Wrap Up
Last weekend, the group admins and I met up to discuss the group and future plans. I’m personally getting excited for all of that, and can’t wait to share more.
In other news, Jae Jarratt and his business partner released their schedule of Photography Workshops for 2025. I have personally worked alongside Jae teaching workshops, and I highly recommend them.
