The Picture Perfect Colorado Group is run by three landscape and nature photographers, all based in Colorado Springs.
Jae Jarratt is a Professional Landscape Photographer currently based out of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Throughout his life, he has always felt most at home in the mountains: from growing up in Colorado, to living in the Pacific Northwest, and traveling frequently to Alaska. Exploring these vastly different landscapes has given him a profound love for the outdoors. He is also an avid traveler and has visited over 20 countries and nearly every state in the U.S.
At the start of the COVID-19 lockdown, in April 2020, he decided to pursue his dream of being a Professional Photographer. That decision was based on an interest in photography and a desire to prioritize a sense of happiness and fulfillment. From that moment on, he has worked thousands of hours, consistently working toward achieving his goals.
Today, Jae is a widely known in Colorado as a Professional Photographer and an educator. He has partnered with Garden of the Gods Park teaching Basic Composition workshops for the past several years. That opportunity has given him a way to give back to the community and showcase his skills. In addition to working with the Park, Jae has moved on to teach Advanced Landscape and Astrophotography to hundreds of enthusiastic students. Guiding them in creatively capturing the fine details of a unique and expressive photo is something Jae takes an immense amount of pride in. He is known for incorporating strong foreground elements into dramatic landscapes, which create highly dynamic photos using focus-stacking and HDR techniques.

Daniel Forster is a Colorado photographer specializing in Fine Art Landscape and Nature photography. Based in Colorado Springs, I capture the dramatic beauty of our natural world, from summer wildflowers and fall colors to starlit mountain peaks. My work is loved and displayed in homes and offices around the world, serving as windows to nature’s most breathtaking moments. In one of my most beloved roles as a photography instructor, I have had the pleasure of leading workshops and training hundreds of photographers, sharing my passion and expertise with others on their creative journeys.
My path to photography emerged from a deep-rooted desire to create and share the beauty that surrounds us. Living in Colorado provides endless inspiration, from the majestic fourteeners to serene wilderness scenes. What began with simple sunset photos has evolved into a profound artistic journey, driven by the joy of capturing those magical moments when nature seems to embrace us – like when the sky explodes with color at sunset or when alpine meadows burst with wildflowers. Each image I create aims to tell a story and forge an emotional connection with the viewer.
The most rewarding aspect of my work is its impact on others. Nothing brings me greater satisfaction than hearing how my photographs have moved someone emotionally or brought the peace and beauty of nature into their daily lives. Through my fine art prints, workshops, and mentoring, I strive to not only showcase the magnificent landscapes that surround us but also to inspire others to see and capture the world’s natural beauty in their own unique way. Every shoot is a new challenge, every location a new canvas, and every student brings a fresh perspective that enriches this ongoing creative adventure.

Jason Fazio is a landscape photographer based in Monument, Colorado, with a passion for capturing the breathtaking beauty of the natural world. His days are a captivating blend of artistic pursuit and client connection.
Chasing the Light:
